David has been performing improv for 15 years, both short and long-form, having cut his teeth in The Improverts at the University of Edinburgh. He is a member of veteran FA house team The Cartel and taught at the Free Association school between 2017-2024. As well as improvising, David acts and is most well-known for playing Goldsworth in Nick Mohammed's Mr Swallow shows at the Edinburgh fringe and in the West End, and for playing Clive in semi-improvised sitcom Borderline.

 

He started performing his cult hit show David Elms Describes A Room in 2022, where it had a monthly residency at the FA theatre. The show has now been performed around the UK and beyond, and recently sold out a 5-night run at Soho Theatre.
